'Doc' - purple ribbon - female My daughter has been waiting, and waiting, and waiting (like only a 7 year old little girl can) for Miss Squizzie to have another litter of puppies. We decided to let her keep her pick of the litter as one of our family. When Squiz had only 1 little girl, it was no mystery which one Piper was going to pick. She decided to name her 'Doc' after her favorite show 'Doc McStuffins'! Welcome to the family Doc!

Scott, Pat, & "A.J."

Hi Wendy,
A.J. is getting along great, he has so many qualities of our first wheaten. All of us adore him, we were not able to put Christmas gifts under the tree this year as they were opened quite quickly by the puppies. He is getting along very well with his new sister Abby. They both love the outdoors, our backyard and our cottage. Abby is constantly pushing to be the dominant one and A.J. usually takes the high road and lets her be. He loves to be hugged and loves his quiet time. Like our previous Scotties he is not to fond of a leash; our last walk he chose just to wrap his paws around the leash and slide on his back through the snow for twenty or so feet. Actually he has taken quite quick to walks and heeling - his sister is another story - hopefully A.J will rub off on her? He had another Vet checkup and now has his rabies and various other shots, the Vet indicated he was in great shape. Everyday he pleases us with his cute little looks and wonderful demeanor. He and Abby had their first hair cuts just before New Years (the pictures with the bandana's) Thanks, we will try and update a little more often, please feel free to remind us.

Amanda & "Ernest"

For my husband and I, it was love at first sight when we saw the picture of our little (now very big guy) Ernest. On the day I went to pick him up he was such a love and started licking my face as soon as I picked him up. He has a wonderful personality, always happy (I do mean always), incredibley smart and easy to train (it helps that he is very food motivated) loves to snuggle and he has never met a person or dog he doesn't love, he even still adores children even though we have none because of being raised in Wendy's home with her own children, me and my husband almost feel bad that we have none because he loves them so much and does so very well with them. All in all it was a fabulous experience with Wendy, our pup was perfectly healthy and still is, we have had no problems with our little guy. Ernest is the perfect opposite to his Scottie brother Porter and they love each other, he has been the most perfect addition to our little family and we love keeping in contact with Wendy to let her know how things are going and we will be happy in the years to come to keep in touch and one day (hopefully a good many years from now) bring home another doggie family member from Wendy.

Mike, Melissa, "Zeo" & "Zoey"

Buyer Beware: Once you see these Scottie puppies, you can't say "no." These puppies grow up to be loving, faithful, fun dogs. They like people, kids and other dogs. They are smart and trainable. As for Wendy, she is the best! While "your puppy" is still at her house, you receive pictures and updates. She always has time to answer questions, etc. And when your puppy comes to live with you, it comes with all the paperwork you expect when purchasing a pedigree, Wendy is truly a conscientious, professional breeder who loves her dogs. She does follows up to make sure all is going well. She is knowledgeable, considerate, and trustworthy. We have purchased three Scotties from Wendy. We have referred others, also. We recommend Wendy Rountree and her dogs without reservation.

Courtney & "Macie"

When I was on my way back to school during my freshman year of college, we stopped by Wendy's house and she happened to have two puppies inside at the time. One was this sweet little girl that I picked up and held and she soon fell asleep in my arms. I looked at both my parents and at Wendy and everyone in the room knew that I wasn't leaving that house without the puppy in my arms. There have been hard days (potty training and puppy training) but having the sweet companionship of Macie outweighs the hard days times ten.Macie is such a sweet dog. She loves people. She loves to show off. She was quick to learn how to shake, spin and dance besides the other basic commands. Macie loves to play with her doggy friends. Scotties are defiantly very stubborn and know what they want. She is independent and loves that she can explore her "yard" whenever she likes. You can often look out the window to see her doing the perimeter check and when the weather is nice, you can count on her to be outside most of the day.

"Rosie"
I had a friend who was looking to get a scottie. They didn't want to deal with the puppy issues and so I spoke with Wendy and she told me that Rosie was needing to go to a good home. I then spoke with my friend who decided that she wanted to get her. Rosie has been the best little dog for my friend's daughter. she has bonded with everyone in the house and brings joy and laughter into their home.
Raena & "Louie"

'Louie' a Wheaten colored Scottie
I was so lucky to get the best girl in the world, Louie! Wendy met my mom at a central location and we were hooked at first sight of Louie. Her personality is wonderful! She’s quite a little character, when it comes to stealing her brother’s bones. We have always had Scotties and she is a great addition to the family. I previously owned a Wheaten Scottish Terrier who has passed on. I loved her to pieces and Louie has been able to fill my heart even when I didn’t think it possible. Louie also has facebook page! Just search "Louie Tames"!
Thanks Wendy for my new BFF Lou-Lou!!
Thanks Wendy for my new BFF Lou-Lou!!
Wanda & "Roxie"

"Roxie" is a Wheaten Colored Female. This little pup was the last one to find a home in this spring's Cracker x Gibby litter.
Little "Roxie's" personality it turning out to be alot like her mothers. She is a shy, laid back girl. When it comes to wrestling and exploring with all of her brothers, she'd rather sit back and watch from a quiet corner. Wanda from Rigby set her eyes on our little girl and fell in love. Updates from Wanda are coming soon.

Matt with "Riley" & "Finn"
Two brothers of the 2011 Spring Cracker x Gibby litter, previously known as "Green" and "Light Blue", live together with Matt in California. In May Matt writes:
Wendy,
Now at 12 weeks old, vaccinations are all done. Riley (green) weighs 9 lb-3 oz, and Finn (blue) weighs 8 lb-7oz. The boys have been growing by leaps and bounds, you can almost see a change every day. Lately they have been getting taller and longer, losing their puppy bellies. Riley is dark wheaten, and Finn is about half as dark. Their coarse fur is coming in now as well.
Finn is the instigator and tormentor, while Riley is game for anything and enjoys bulldozing anything in his path. Both are lick monsters. They like to chase lizards and field mice that show up in the wood pile. Pretty much potty trained with an occasional accident when playing rough. We went for a mile walk on leash the other day. Trying to get three Scotties, two of which are puppies, going in the same direction is fun. Let’s just say I was tired and everyone else wanted to play some more.

Victoria & "Cedric"

"Cedric" is a little Wheaten Male from Spring 2011 Cracker x Gibby litter. In May 2011 Victoria writes;
Wendy
All is going great with Cedric.
He has settled in well and I love him to bits. He is quite the little character and very smart. :-) He already knows his name. Everyone who meets him, loves him. He is getting more shots tonight and then he will be going to a puppy play group for 1/2 a day on Monday. I have attached a couple pictures. These were taken the first night he arrived. As you can see, he found his toy box and made himself right at home. :-)
Victoria
November 2011 Victoria Writes:
Hi Wendy,
Thank you for your email. Cedric is great! It is hard to believe he is 9 months old. I love him very much. He is personality plus and such a little love bug. He is really maturing with his training and not getting into quite as much mischief. J He was neutered in September so I think that has helped calm him a little. We are in the second round of puppy training classes, plus he still goes to camp a couple days a week. He loves playing with the other dogs at camp. (the pictures below and a couple attached, are of him at camp last week) Most of the time he gets a good report card, but sometimes I am told he plays a little rough. I don’t know a Scottie who doesn’t play rough, do you? ;-) He is very handsome as you can see. :-) Thanks again for staying in touch and Happy Thanksgiving!

Janet & "Sam"

Our little "Black" was the 1st to go home out of this Spring 2011 Cracker x Gibby litter. He went with Janet from Shoshone, who couldn't wait another second longer to bring him into her life.
We all miss him but know he'll be loved forever!
New pictures, and updates coming soon!
Sue, John and 'Duncan'

"Duncan" and his new family!
'Duncan' is from the Gibby x Roxie 7-4-11 litter.
His personality is turning out to be a talker! He loves to make noise, let you know what he's thinking. All he wants to do is follow you around and cuddle he loves to be around people more than he does the other dogs! 'Duncan' has gone home with his new family Sue and John of Idaho Falls! They have sent us updated pictures of "Duncan" and his new pal, him resting on the porch, and getting a bath in the sink from the grandkids!
January 2012 John and Sue Write:
Wendy,
I wanted to send you a picture of Duncan's big boy haircut. We think he is a very handsome Scottie. We have thoroughly enjoyed Duncan. Duncan did well at the groomers, just had to find out who was in charge, typical Scottie. Duncan is so smart, has been easy to train, and has learned the word No. Duncan is still very affectionate, and loves to give hugs, he is just a sweetheart. Duncan's favorite thing is being outside running with our grandson, he loves to be outside. Just wanted you to see him, and let you know what a great dog he is

The Whitaker Family & "Brown Ribbon Puppy"

The Whitakers & Brown Ribbon puppy 8wks old
Little 'Brown' is from the 7-4-11 Roxie x Gibby Litter. We called him 'Big Brown', because this guy weighed in at 4#8oz at his first vet visit, which made him the biggest in the litter. But with that comes the phrase 'gentle giant'. 'Brown' was the calmer of the males in the bunch. Although, 'Brown' can get spunky from time to time and join the group, his general personality is very laid back. Just a sweet, innocent little boy (is that an oximoron?!?). 'Brown' went home on 9-3-11 with his new family the Whitaker's all the way from Great Falls Montana! His new name, and current updates will be coming soon! Double click a picture below to enlarge it.
Ron, Carma & "Brandi"

'Brandi' 5 weeks old
'Brandi' (formerly 'Pink') is from the 7-4-11 Roxie x Gibby litter. This little girl was so exhausted during her 2 week old photo shoot, she couldn't even get all 4 feet into the flower pot! But as she grew, lit'Brandi' did a 180 turn! She was the first puppy to have one little ear stand up, and the first to figure out how to use the doggie door! She's a born leader! 'Brandi' turned into a peppy, plucky, perky princess! She's got attitude! 'Brandi' left for her new home on 8-17-11 with her new parents Ron and Carma from Hailey ID! Current updates coming soon.

Sniffing your ears, nose, face and then decides he loves everything about everyone and he'll never let you leave! 'Black' didn't care about anything that was happening during his vet visit, all he wanted to do was be held, and cuddled! What a Romeo!Double click a picture below to enlarge it.

"Hi Wendy, we are absolutely loving Maizey! She goes back and forth between being an angel and a devil! She sleeps all night without a peep--except from her squeeky toys if she wakes up briefly. She is doing well on potty training. Her favorite toys are her two Wiggly Giggly balls--one with a rope for playing tug and a smaller one without. The balls were inherited from Frankie, our Scottie who died in October. He loved toys and as I think you can see in one of the pictures he had lots! She will often take them all out at once and scatter them all over the house. She and Allan play tug and also fetch every morning and she almost always brings the ball back. She and Gregor have become great friends. She tries to boss him around and he puts her in her place. They often nap together in Gregor's big bed. We adore her and she has won many friends who invite us over on the condition that we bring her. She traveled in her little kennel with us to Los Cruces for Thanksgiving--about a 5 hour drive. Not a sound out of her. Then she joined my sister's 3 year old male Doxie-something mix in many wild and crazy "fights". She will not give up, even when severely outweighed! I have been working on getting her used to the electric clippers and today I gave her a haircut without any fuss. She, much to our dismay, quickly learned to use the doggie door. She'd watch Gregor going out and soon followed him. Yesterday we were next to the dog run digging a trench for some electrical wiring. After watching for a short time she began digging a hole in the dog run. Guess she wanted to help! Thanks for such a great little dog!" Marylee

Jean and "Piper"

"Piper" from the Cracker x Gibby 9-7-11 litter has a very happy-go-lucky personality. She's easy going, plays with everyone and just loves life. She is still the smallest of the black females but that doesn't stop her putting them in their place. "White" can sometimes take on the roll of 'mother-hen' when she needs to. She will growl and bark and toss her sisters on their backs to show em' that just cause she's little that doesn't mean they can take advantage! "White's" go-with-the-flow personality makes her extra cute, she was also one of the first to 'poop-out' during the play session! Little "Piper" flew all the way to Maine to join Jean and her new family. New pictures and updates coming soon!
Toni and "Katie"

One of the two wheaten sisters from Cracker x Gibby's 9-7-11 litter has apparently come out of her shell. Her owner Toni says that she is boss as home! No more shy quiet 'hide in the corner' type puppy. Miss Katie follows mom around and is her right hand gal. She makes sure everyone stays in order and tattles on anyone doing something naughty! What a girl!
